EDUCATION
After eleven schools in grades K-12, I went to Penn State where I received my BA in Art in 1976. I have also taken children's literature classes at the U of MN, a week-long picturebook workshop from Uri Shulevitz, writing classes from Lisa Peters, and many SCBWI workshops.

JOBS
My jobs have usually related to children and art. Early summer jobs were as crafts instructor at city parks or Bible camp. My first "real" job was as an art teacher at the Anglo-American School in Moscow, USSR. After coming to Minneapolis I worked at a design studio and at a small publisher. I have also worked at an elementary school's before-school childcare program to keep in touch with younger kids. Most recently, I have worked at an adult day center, combining my interests in art, music, games, educational presentations and hearing people’s stories.
